THE OPPORTUNITY
Solana Foundation is seeking a Senior Accountant to help develop the accounting function across the Foundation and its wholly owned US subsidiary, SF Operations Inc.
This is an operations-first accounting role. Reporting directly to the Controller, you own the day-to-day machinery of how money moves through the organization — how bills get paid, how cash comes in, how spend is controlled, and how all of it lands accurately in the ledger across two entities and two accounting standards.
The first six months are systems work: onboarding a new expense management and bill pay platform, integrating an agentic procurement system, and automating accounts receivable. From there the role expands across the wider function. You will be designing process architecture, not inheriting it, which means the person who fits this seat is as comfortable rebuilding a workflow as closing a month.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
YOU WILL:
- Own Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash end to end — run AP and AR as processes, not queues. Find the bottlenecks, propose the fix, and implement it. Take responsibility for cycle times, accuracy, and the vendor and customer experience on both sides of the ledger.
- Build the finance tech stack alongside the Controller — lead the onboarding of a new expense management and bill pay platform, integrate agentic procurement, and automate AR. Evaluate what should be a too
