About the role We're hiring our first dedicated international tax professional in Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore. You'll be a key member of Anthropic's tax team, reporting to our Head of International Tax Operations / Business Advisory and working closely with tax colleagues in Dublin and our San Francisco headquarters. As APAC Tax Lead, you'll own direct tax compliance and advisory across our Asia-Pacific entities and operations (Japan, Korea, India, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan) and help build tax infrastructure to support Anthropic's rapid international expansion. Key responsibilities Lead APAC direct tax compliance, working with external advisors (KPMG, PwC, Deloitte) to ensure timely and accurate filings across all jurisdictions Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions for APAC entities, including cost-plus arrangements and intercompany service agreements Manage withholding tax positions and treaty relief on cross-border flows, including customer receipts and vendor payments Advise on permanent establishment risks, entity structuring, and operational tax considerations as Anthropic expands APAC commercial and infrastructure activities Support the tax side of regional infrastructure expansion, including data center, colocation, and subsea cable arrangements and new entity formations Partner with indirect tax personnel on VAT/GST and consumption tax matters to align on tax strategy and overall compliance requirements Partner with Finance, Legal, and People teams on payroll taxes, equity compensation, and employee mobility matters Build relationships with local tax authorities and manage a
