Flow Traders is seeking a Senior Market Data Analyst to own the strategy, governance, and value realization of our external market data portfolio. You will ensure the right data reaches the right users under the right terms, helping to maximize utility, minimize waste, and empower our Trading, Research, and Technology teams with fit-for-purpose datasets. Your work will bridge commercial, technical, and operational domains to deliver market data that is compliant, cost-effective, and actionable. As the steward of our external market data, you will shape how Flow Traders discovers, acquires, and applies information at scale. Core Responsibilities Act as the subject-matter expert on market data usage across the firm, mapping datasets to use cases, workflows, and systems, covering real-time, delayed, and historical data for pricing, analytics, execution, and research. Drive budgeting and forecasting accuracy: model usage, seat inventory, and consumption trends; translate business demand into spend forecasts; track variance and ROI; and advise on cost optimization. Govern entitlements and compliance: ensure data consumption aligns with licensing requirements, exchange/provider policies, display vs. non-display rules, redistribution terms, derived data policies, and audit requirements. Maximize the utility of external data: benchmark vendors, evaluate quality and coverage, run pilots and proof-of-value studies, and partner with engineers to integrate data into production workflows. Provide operational coverage by fulfilling reporting obligations and managing entitlement administration. Actively contribute to knowledge and process management best practices related to market data administration. Collaborate with Legal and Compliance on contract interpretation and policy adherence; with Data Engineering on integration patterns and monitoring; and with Trading and Research on evolving data needs.
