As a Lead Technical Program Manager at Marqeta, you will be responsible for leading technical workstreams or initiatives, coordinating work across engineering teams to deliver complex projects on time and within scope. The Product Operations and Technical Program Management team operates as an integral component of the Strategy and Operations organization. We specialize in facilitating and orchestrating Product and Engineering teams and strategic initiatives that encompass our platform, product portfolio, and new innovations for our customers. Our team functions as the essential connective tissue between engineering, product, go-to-market, and customer-facing teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and aligned execution across these critical organizational functions.

The Impact You’ll Have
Drive technical programs from concept to completion, managing scope, schedule, and resources
Identify dependencies, risks, and issues; develop mitigation strategies for end-to-end program delivery
Facilitate communication between engineering, product, design, and business teams
Lead technical planning, estimation, and prioritization sessions
Document technical decisions and ensure alignment across stakeholders
Provide regular status updates to leadership and remove obstacles for engineering teams
Balance technical tradeoffs with business requirements and timelines
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
5+ years of technical program/project management experience in software organizations
Strong understanding of relevant technologies, software development methodologies and processes (S-SDLC)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technic
