About the opportunity
We are seeking an Investments Compliance Senior Associate to join our team in Berlin. As N26 expands its investment offerings, we are seeking a driven Senior Associate to champion regulatory integrity across our trading products. You will act as the vital bridge between ambitious product innovation and strict adherence to frameworks like MiFID II. From early ideation to market launch, you will actively advise cross-functional teams to ensure compliance is built-in by design. By partnering with Legal, Risk, and Engineering, you will develop scalable, tech-driven compliance solutions that protect the bank while maintaining our agility. In this role, you will:
Champion Compliance: Ensure our trading operations are fully aligned with European and national laws (e.g. MiFID, MAR, MiCAR, Regulatory Technical Standards, WpHG, MaComp, and more).
Set the Standard: Implement top-tier market standards to offer the best customer experience, prevent insider dealings, manage conflicts of interest, and ensure best execution.
Be the Bridge: Collaborate seamlessly with Product, Business, Operations, Complaints, external partners, and our Group Compliance team.
Shape the Narrative: Translate compliance requirements into clear, actionable feedback for business stakeholders.
Drive Innovation: Contribute to the Investments Compliance Roadmap and align our compliance strategy with N26's overall vision.
Lead the Way: Manage the Compliance Roadmap by identifying risks, stakeholders, and dependencies, and ensuring clear communication.
What you need to be successful:
3+ years of advisory/audit experience in European and national laws (e.g. MiFID, MAR, MiCAR, Regulatory Technical Standards, WpHG, MaComp, and more) governing trading and insurance (FinTech/banking environment or consulting).
