A Career with Point72's Legal Team Assistant General Counsel, APAC Our Legal team’s mission is to deliver exceptional legal services in a manner that promotes the firm’s performance with the utmost integrity. Our Legal department supports all Point72 groups globally with practical advice on a variety of complex legal and regulatory matters in an ever-changing, dynamic environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO Support the Head of Legal, APAC, in all matters pertaining to the APAC region Advise on matters of general corporate law, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts as well as managing corporate governance matters, including local filings and board meetings Assist the HR team and wider employment Legal team on local employment and immigration matters, including reviewing and updating employment contracts for the APAC offices Assist and keep up to date on ongoing regulatory matters which affect Point72’s APAC offices (including licensing matters) and advise on the application of all relevant existing and new laws and regulations applicable to SFC, MAS and FSA regulated entities Review placement letters, confidentiality agreements and investor representation letters for the firm’s ECM desk and other business lines Provide ad-hoc advice on other legal matters (including matters relating to data protection laws) with respect to Point72’s APAC offices, including liaising with and arranging for external legal advice as appropriate Escalate any local issues promptly, provide regular reporting and updates of new laws, regulations, and guidelines in the APAC region and assist on projects responding to the implementation of such new laws, regulations and guidelines You will also interact regularly with external counterparts (particularly Point72’s external counsel and company secretaries for our APAC offices) on a variety of corporate, commercial, real estate, employment, and regulatory matters.
